Terms of service
These terms cover your account, what your plan includes, how features are classified as included or metered, and the one promise that does not move: if you learn it by reading it, it is yours.
The product
Skillmaxing ("we", "us", "our") is an independent educational product: courses, lessons, notes, interactive labs, roadmaps, and written research coverage for AI, system design, inference engineering, and machine learning mathematics. It is not affiliated with any employer, university, or the authors of the third-party material it summarises.
Accounts
Sign-in creates a personal account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials private and for the activity under your account. Accounts are for individual use and are not shared or transferred between people.
What your plan includes
Every paid plan, Monthly, Quarterly, Annual, and Lifetime, unlocks the same catalogue. No plan unlocks a course that another paid plan does not; the only difference between them is how often you pay. Full access covers the written core of the product, everything you learn by reading it:
- Every course we have published, and every course we publish later
- Every lesson, note, exercise, learning path, and roadmap inside them
- The blog, daily paper coverage, glossary, and archive in full
- Corrections, rewrites, and updates to any of the above
If you learn it by reading it, it is in your plan. The static, readable core of the product, lessons, notes, exercises, paths, and everything written, carries no usage counter, no per-item charge, and no meter, ever. Updates to it are always free. This is the fixed point everything else in these terms moves around.
Metered features
Reading a page costs nothing per reader, so reading is never metered. Some features are different in kind: instead of a page they give you a running environment, a live model call, or a hosted workspace that costs something each time it is used. Those features are metered. They are paid for separately from your plan, through credits or a comparable add-on, and they are always optional. Where a metered feature exists we will:
- Label it on the feature itself, before you start
- Show what a run costs before it runs
- Not charge you for a run that fails on our side or a provider's side
- Keep unused balances usable for as long as your account is open
Metered features sit alongside the curriculum, never inside it. No lesson is locked behind one and no learning path requires spending to finish. Fair-use limits may apply to keep them available to everyone, and we may add, change, or retire a metered feature.
Who decides what is included
Where a feature falls, free, included in your plan, or metered, is a decision we make, and as the product grows we may redraw that line. Two things bound that discretion. The readable core described above can never be reclassified, and a change that affects what your plan covers reaches you by email before it takes effect.
What lifetime access means
Lifetime is a single payment for the full catalogue described above, including everything we publish later. It does not renew, it does not expire, and it stays attached to your account.
What you read never gets taken away. Every written course, lesson, note, and exercise your plan covers today stays covered, along with everything we write later and every update, at no extra cost, for as long as the product operates.
"Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the product. If we ever wind the product down, lifetime holders will receive notice and an export of their notes and progress.
Plans and billing
Plans are billed Monthly, Quarterly, or Annually, or bought once as Lifetime. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, which you can do at any time from your billing portal; cancelling stops the next charge and keeps access until the end of the paid period. Prices, regional pricing, and promotional codes can change. A change never affects a payment you have already made. See Refunds for the refund policy.
License to use the content
Access gives you a personal, non-transferable license for your own learning. You may not redistribute, resell, publicly re-host, or bulk-download the material, or use it to build a competing product.
Acceptable use
Do not share your account or paid access with people who have not paid for it, and do not scrape, mirror, or systematically download the archive. Do not use metered features for anything unlawful or abusive.
Third-party services
The product depends on services we do not control: an authentication provider for sign-in, a payment processor for billing, and model and infrastructure providers behind metered features. See the Privacy policy for what data goes where.
Disclaimer and liability
The product is provided "as is", for educational purposes. We do not guarantee interview outcomes, and content may contain errors or become outdated; tell us and we will fix it. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before a claim.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes update the date at the top of this page, and plan holders are told by email before a change that affects them takes effect.
